As of April 2023 Mag.a Christina Hell has taken up her new position as Head of the Division of Teaching Development and Digital Transformation at the University for Continuing Education Krems. Prior to her appointment, Vice-Rector Peter Parycek was filling the position. Hell graduated with a teaching degree in English and French and has been active in the field of teaching development and digital transformation of university teaching at various renowned universities in Europe for more than ten years.

High-quality teaching innovation and development are a fundament of all continuing education studies and short programs at the University for Continuing Education Krems. Flexibilization and innovative, digitally supported teaching and learning formats for working students will be continuously expanded at University of Krems in the coming years. The close and innovative link between teaching and digitalization is clearly visible in the Division of Teaching Development and Digital Transformation. With the new division management, the pioneering role in the integration of digital technologies and innovative teaching methods is to be further expanded.

Christina Hell's area of responsibility includes the units Teaching Innovation and Digital Competence Development as well as IT Services, the Medialab team and Tech Support team, all together comprising around 40 members of staff.

About Christina Hell

Christina Hell’s engagement in the strategic and innovative development of university teaching and digital transformation processes reaches back more than ten years. Born in Lower Austria in 1984, she graduated from the University of Vienna and Concordia University Montréal with a teaching degree in English and French, and subsequently worked for several years in university teaching in this area. In the field of digitally supported teaching, she has worked at various international universities, such as the University of Oxford as an Educational Technologist and Teaching Fellow for Language Learning Technologies or at the Sorbonne in Paris for the further development of the blended learning strategy. Since 2020, Christina Hell has been working at the University for Continuing Education Krems as a project manager in the Digital Transformation team, and since 2021 she heads the unit Teaching Innovation and Digital Competence Development.
