The Department for Management and Economics at Danube University Krems has been awarded the quality seal for all master degree courses by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs Foundation (ACBSP). The accreditation concludes the comprehensive quality control process conducted at the Danube Business School in Krems.

With this accreditation, all EMBA, MBA and MSc programs offered by the Department for Management and Economics at Danube University Krems now hold the quality seal bestowed by the internationally renowned quality assurance agency ACBSP and hence, one of the leading special accreditations for business and management programs.

“The accreditation testifies to the excellence of our programs, providing potential students with an important means of orientation in a growing market,” says Univ. Prof. Dr. Barbara Brenner, Head of the Department for Management and Economics at Danube University Krems.

Double Accreditation

In addition, the department can now refer to double accreditation for most of its master degree programs: the MBA and three MSc programs have already been accredited by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation), a mainly European agency for quality assurance and accreditation of study programs and educational institutions.

The ACBSP accreditation is one of the leading international business and management quality seals. Currently more than 1,200 educational institutions in 60 countries are ACBSP-accredited. The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs Foundation (ACBSP) was established in 1988 and accredits business programs up to PhD level. The quality process imposes rigorous requirements as to comprehensive quality management, and scrutinizes courses with regard to their content, structure, practical relevance, and quality of the teaching staff. Not only that, the progress of all students is evaluated by an independent external body.

“By participating in the accreditation process, Danube University Krems has demonstrated its commitment to excellent teaching standards and a continuous quality improvement process,” says ACBSP Chief Accreditation Officer Dr. Steve Parscale. The accreditation proves that Danube University Krems guarantees its students best quality business programs. The accreditation certificate will be officially presented on 26 June 2017 at the ACBSP Conference 2017 in Anaheim, California.
