Description

The aim of the bilateral co-operation project is to develop intermeshing programmes and technologies for effective prevention of and intervention against human trafficking a from multidisciplinary and inter-institutional perspective. The programmes are to be used for training and intervention and for designing schemes to be used to combat human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation. The project focuses on the development of an innovative technical device for finding under-age persons who have fallen victim to human trafficking. The prevention and intervention programmes are based on models from the social sciences and the law and are devised in such a way as to work together with the device to render prevention more effective. The project consists of seven work packages and the institutional partners are supported by a transnational multidisciplinary project consortium of researchers and practice experts specialising in different areas of research and practice. Ultimately different, but intermeshing skills will be brought together to focus on cross-border human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation with a view to improving the civil safety infrastructures in the two European states Austria and Germany. The results of the projects, in combination with concrete plans for suitable series of training events in the field of the prevention of and intervention in human trafficking, are intended in particular to help address the currently rapidly growing need, to which the public agencies have drawn attention, for training in the concrete management of victims of human trafficking at safety academies.
