Description

The Joanna Briggs Institute Collaboration (JBIC) is the largest global network for the integration of evidence-based healthcare, linking academic institutions with healthcare facilities. Since its founding in 1996, JBIC has grown into a network of more than 80 collaborating institutions in 39 countries. JBIC consists of JBI Centers of Excellence and affiliated groups, which contribute to the improvement of healthcare worldwide through the production of high-quality evidence syntheses, programs for the implementation of evidence in practice and methodological training. The Department of Evidence-Based Medicine and Evaluation (EBME) at the University of Continuing Education Krems is to establish a JBI Center Affiliated Group. Due to the multi-professional orientation of the JBIC with a focus on the implementation of evidence-based measures in clinical practice, the establishment of a JBI group is an ideal complement to the already established Cochrane Center Austria. The newly founded JBI Group will be the first in Austria.
