“Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy” with manipulative therapy as an integrated component deals with diagnosis, therapy and comprehensive, conservative management of musculoskeletal functional impairments due to physical and psychosocial circumstances.
The growing number of patients with musculoskeletal problems, the resulting enormous economic impact on health costs combined with the goal to deliver quality-assured physiotherapeutic services increasingly call for evidence-based decisions and actions. Building on the students’ extensive prior knowledge and following the standards of the “International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists” (IFOMPT) the university course provides high level, overall decision-making competence with regard to comprehensive, conservative management of musculoskeletal conditions. This sophisticated postgraduate course is characterized by concept-overarching content in line with international standards.
At the Center for Health Sciences, students receive an internationally sought-after and practical education that prepares them for the growing challenges in their professions.
The course is organized in cooperation with the professional association “Physio Austria.”
In Germany, the course is offered through the continuing education center “Langenhagen GbR.”
