The Department for Higher Education Research hosted a training about university organization and management for colleagues from Italy on May 23 and 24, 2024. The 31 participants came from a diversity of Italian higher education institutions, geographically representing all of Italy.
The program included a general introduction into the higher educations system in Austria and its governance. This was complemented by a comprehensive review about key organizational units at the University for Continuing Education Krems that are responsible for the internal governance of the university. Representatives of these units gave presentations and insights into their work, covering: research management, grant acquisition, quality assurance, digitalization, recognition of prior learning, future skills, recruitment and HR development, and services for students.
The MIP staff training meeting was appreciated professionally and socially by the participants and speakers with a great emphasis and depth. A possible next coming-together is being considered.
Therefore, a million thanks to the colleagues from higher education in Italy!
