Allianz - Nachhaltige Universitäten

The Alliance of Sustainable Universities in Austria, currently presided over by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Gerzabek, Rector of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, sees itself as an informal, open network aiming to more strongly promote the issue of sustainability at universities, thereby contributing to the sustainability of society. According to Faulhammer, „Danube University Krems pledges itself to sustainability because of its responsibility as a public university towards society.“ This membership, adds Faulhammer, is another step towards promoting Danube University Krems‘ programs of research and study.

CCCA Membership
Simultaneously, Danube University Krems became a member of Climate Change Center Austria (CCCA). CCCA is a coordinating body for the promotion of climate research in Austria, aiming – among other things – to link science and other institutions with each other. Danube University Krems will be represented by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Gerald Steiner, Dean of Faculty of Business and Globalization and Dr.in Andrea Höltl, Department for Management and Economics.
