The Parity Academy Berlin and Danube University Krems have collaborated in two masters programs for some time now. On 18th of June, they signed an agreement in Berlin making Danube University a co-partner of the German further and continuing education institution. The purpose is to provide additional further and continuing education study programs at the Berlin venue.
In his speech at the signing of the agreement, Friedrich Faulhammer, Rector of Danube University Krems, emphasized that both institutions have been in contact for a long time: “We have a special relationship with the Parity Academy Berlin. This is what motivated us to also participate in Germany for the first time.”
Dr. Gabriele Schlimper, managing director of the Parity Welfare Association Berlin, pointed out that both institutions support the philosophy of lifelong learning. Now, even better offers can be designed together, and the two can grow with each other. “I am proud that we paved the way to this agreement,” says Dr. Gabriele Schlimper, who will also work as a visiting professor at Danube University Krems.
The partners already collaborate in two masters programs. Approximately 50 social management experts have graduated with a degree in “Social Services Management – Child and Youth Aid” since its launch in 2014. Currently, 51 students are enrolled in the study program “Social Work – Child and Youth Aid.” In autumn 2018, the first graduates will be working in the field of social pedagogy.
