Description

The subject of this evaluation is the HEPA Lower Austria (HEPA-NÖ) project. This project was initiated by the SVS in cooperation with the BVAEB and the ÖGK and started as a pilot in January 2022. It focuses on people insured under all health insurance companies in Lower Austria who are between the ages of 35 and 65 and who do not meet the Austrian physical activity recommendations. This evaluation makes it possible to design the HEPA-NÖ project on the basis of knowledge that is available from the HEPA evaluations already carried out in other federal states, to make informed decisions based on the experience gained from the initial implementation in Lower Austria, to best design the operation of HEPA-NÖ project, and to provide a data-supported evaluation of the extent and scope of the HEPA-NÖ project and its objectives. The planned research steps are briefing discussions, a workshop to clarify the assignment, preparation of a written evaluation plan, scientific analysis and overview of existing evaluation reports from HEPA projects in other federal states, a quantitative online survey of participants on the parameters quality of life and range of motion, a qualitative survey of key people, and general reporting. The evaluation is planned between February 2022 and December 2023.
