Description
The project aims to systematically analyse the conditions and success factors for co-production as a governance approach in local administrations. Co-production describes the cooperation between municipalities and citizens in the design and provision of public services in order to develop innovative solutions to social challenges. Especially in German-speaking regions, there is a lack of sound knowledge about the practice and conditions for success of co-production. The project focusses on municipalities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and compares them with British regions. The significance, success factors and implementation models of co-production are analysed in three phases. The aim is to gain new insights into co-design and co-delivery and to support professionals in the successful application of these approaches.
