Description
Major emergencies place extreme demands on responders, requiring swift action under chaotic conditions. Inefficient communication and lack of coordination can hinder response efforts, making international cooperation crucial. The 2021 tornado in Czechia demonstrated the effectiveness of cross-border collaboration, with Austrian and Czech emergency teams working together seamlessly. However, challenges such as fragmented information flows and decision-making difficulties remain. This project explores how visualization methods can enhance situational awareness and crisis response, particularly in border regions. By improving the clarity and accessibility of critical information, these methods help emergency teams process real-time data more effectively, leading to better coordination and faster, more informed decision-making in high-pressure situations.
