The Department for Knowledge and Communication Management is dedicated to research and teaching on understanding, problem solving and communication in connection with current organisational and societal challenges. The Department combines the disciplines of cognitive, information and communication science. Research and teaching focuses on knowledge management, visualization and innovation as well as journalism, public relations and political communication.
„Our expertise in research and teaching lies in combining the disciplines of systems, cognitive, information and communication science as well as the consideration of the knowledge society in the field of tension between management and technology. In addition, we pursue the principle of transdisciplinarity in the sense of a mutual learning process between science and society across all disciplines.“
University Professor Dr. Gerald Steiner
