The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Transition, Innovation, and Sustainability Environments (TISE) is a dynamic European program that adopts an inter- and transdisciplinary approach to equip students with the skills, competences, and vision to drive transformative change and tackle the complex challenges of a world in poly-crisis. TISE is an international excellence program dedicated to educating future leaders and researchers at the intersection of sustainability transitions, innovation systems, and complex environments.

The program is a joint endeavour of the University for Continuing Education Krems (UWK) as Coordinator, Universiade Nova de Lisboa (UNL), University College Dublin (UCD), and Poznan University of Economics and Business (PUEB).

It strives to integrate Socio-Cultural Studies (UNL), Social Sciences (UCD), Economics (PUEB), under the umbrella of Systems Sciences (UWK) with Technology/Digital Transition as a transversal topic. At the core of TISE is a commitment to fostering inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration and developing innovative solutions for the transition to a more sustainable future. The program equips graduates to lead innovative initiatives in diverse settings, from government and industry to non-profits and research institutions, ensuring they are both visionary and pragmatic change-makers.

The TISE is a unique academic pilot program, offering an escape from the paradigm of linearity, towards a transdisciplinary model of higher education enabling to cross the borders of specializations and link different areas of expertise leading to adaptivity and elasticity towards change and a far reaching understanding of the relationship between competition and sustainability, which will play a crucial role in the development of our societies in an open and equitable world.
