The Research Lab for Aquatic Ecology and Ecosystem Health investigates interactions between aquatic ecosystems and their organisms. The scientific focus of the Research Lab includes aquatic food webs, trophic biomarkers, lipids and stable isotopes, animal behavioral ecology, aquatic ecotoxicology, and modeling of nutrients and contaminants in aquatic ecosystems. The Research Lab conducts its research activities together with the inter-university center for aquatic ecosystem research WasserCluster Lunz (www.wcl.ac.at).
