Students at the University for Continuing Education Krems can now use Microsoft Office 365 Education free of charge. This offer and the range of functions it includes are defined by Microsoft and are subject to change at any time.
You can use the following Office 365 services for the duration of your studies:
• Microsoft Office 365 for PC and Mac
• Office applications for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone
• Office 365 web applications
• OneDrive for Business (1 TB)
After completing your studies at the University for Continuing Education Krems, your account will be deactivated by Microsoft. Office 365 Education will remain installed on your devices, but will switch to a mode with reduced functionality, which only allows you to open and print documents.
Log in
To log in to your Office 365 Education account, please use the following link: https://login.microsoftonline.com

To use Office on your smartphone or tablet, please install the appropriate app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store.

To use Office 365 on your PC, Mac, or mobile device permanently and with full functionality, you must sign in to an Office application with your Office 365 account to activate Office 365. Office 365 can be activated on up to 5 devices and can be used offline (i.e., without logging back into your Office 365 account) for a maximum of 30 days.

To use the cloud-based storage and data synchronization provided as part of Office 365, please use the OneDrive for Business program. Please note the addition “for Business”! This program differs from the ‘normal’ OneDrive that is also installed. Only the “for Business” version allows you to use the extensive storage space (1TB)!
Special notes on OneDrive:
Please note that the OneDrive storage space provided by Microsoft is cloud storage. The IT Services Unit of the University for Continuing Education Krems has NO influence on the data stored here or the actual location of its storage! We therefore recommend that you take these factors into account, as with cloud storage services from other providers, especially with regard to data protection or any contractual agreements (e.g., data handling in third-party funded research).

Terms of Use
This offer is valid for the duration of the campus agreement between the University for Continuing Education Krems and Microsoft, and may be withdrawn by Microsoft at any time. Office 365 Education may only be installed on private devices.
The Microsoft Office 365 Education service is available exclusively for personal, non-commercial use on up to five private devices for the duration of your studies at the University for Continuing Education Krems. If the University for Continuing Education Krems is held liable by a third party, in particular due to a user's violation of the terms and conditions applicable to use, the University for Continuing Education Krems shall be indemnified and held harmless by the user.
