Description
This additional module to the CD Laboratory for Innovative Therapy Approaches in Sepsis aims at the development and set-up of cell culture models to monitor endothelial activation during inflammatory processes. Specifically, the work aims at the development of various dynamic models to assess the interaction of endothelial cells with leukocytes and platelets under shear conditions. In addition, methods for the detection of microvesicles and for the characterization of their cellular origin as well as for their role in inflammation will be developed.
