The conference "Invisible Camps in Lower Austria" first provides an overview of camps of the 20th century that have not (or hardly) been preserved, with a focus on the time of the Second World War and the post-war period in Lower Austria, and highlights research desiderata. Along the dimension of the "no longer visible", the question of how these sites can be researched, documented and made accessible will then be explored.
