Description
The DigiSET project enhances the digital skills of European educators, aligning with the DigCompEdu, LifeComp and GreenComp frameworks. It addresses the need for teacher upskilling in digital technologies through comprehensive training and a supportive community of practice, fostering a sustainable education system across Europe. Objectives The primary objective of DigiSET is to develop and implement a European Academy for teachers, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and competencies to create, use, and adapt Open Educational Resources (OERs), digital technologies, AI algorithms, and systems thinking. DigiSET aims to: 1. Develop training modules on technologies like Web 3.0, AI, and the Metaverse. 2. Facilitate practical application through creating and sharing teaching materials within a community of practice. 3. Implement and test these materials in educational settings for continuous improvement. Results Expected outcomes include: 1. A training program for the "Digitally Sustainable European Teacher." 2. An OpenSource platform for continuous learning and engagement, that uses virtual simulation with AI branched scenarios. 3. Certification of 700 teachers. 4. Establishment of a virtual Community of Practice (CoP) for knowledge sharing. 5. Development and dissemination of OERs for sustainable education. Impact DigiSET will: 1. Enhance teachers' digital skills, improving education quality across Europe. 2. Promote sustainable digital education through OERs. 3. Foster interdisciplinary collaboration among European educators. 4. Establish a sustainable CoP to support teachers beyond the project. 5. Advance digital education in line with DigCompEdu.
