On March 26, 2025, the first lecture of the newly established Society for National Defence and Security Policy took place at the Government Building in St. Pölten.
The inaugural lecture was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Anna Kaiser, head of the Center for Cultural Property Protection at the University for Continuing Education Krems. The presentation focused on the security-relevant aspects of extended cultural property protection, which includes not only military but also civilian components.
The Austrian Society for National Defence and Security Policy provides information on security policy issues and comprehensive national defence through lectures, discussions, publications, and events. It promotes civic and political dialogue to raise awareness of the importance of defending democracy. It brings together representatives of all political orientations and societal groups to engage in objective discussions and jointly implement projects for security policy education.
