Description

In this project, we will develop advanced methods for the characterization of extracellular vesicles. We will (i) develop flow cytometric methods for the characterization of vesicles in the size range below 200 nm (binding to magnetic beads, fluorescence triggering and simultaneous detection of surface markers on extracellular vesicles using the MACSPlex technology), (ii) set up a method for the flow cytometric characterization of complement factor and tissue factor-bearing extracellular vesicles (iii) characterize extracellular vesicles after shock wave therapy, (iv) define the impact of extracellular vesicles on the distribution of monocyte subsets and (v) set up methods for the new NTA device.
