Cooperations

The University for Continuing Education Krems is the only public university for academic continuing education within the German-speaking world, and as such, it pursues the goal of lifelong learning at the highest international standards.

This vision is supported by staff and students from numerous countries, who together foster an international atmosphere and cultural diversity. The university’s strategic ambition to become an attractive cooperation partner for national and international institutions as well as non-university organizations is backed by a wide range of initiatives: Erasmus+, international mobility programs, 30 Memoranda of Understanding and 62 Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional Agreements with universities (as of 2025), memberships in international networks, collaborative research and education projects.

In addition, the university is actively involved in the EU.ACE consortium (European University for Academic Continuing Education), a university alliance dedicated to developing innovative and tailored continuing education pathways.

These initiatives strengthen the university’s international orientation and promote the exchange of knowledge, perspectives, and innovations.

Networks

The University for Continuing Education Krems positions itself as a Central European competence center for continuing education. A key strategic focus of the university is the targeted expansion of international activities, particularly in the areas of mobility and cooperation. The goal is to make a sustainable contribution to the advancement of the European Education Area through increased international networking and strategic collaboration

Projects

Cooperation projects are, for example, funded by Erasmus+ and are considered by the university as contributions to internationalisation and teaching. Here are some options:
