About the NIILS project
The NIILS project aims to provide information on informal and non-conventional physical and hybrid learning spaces used by students from different social groups in different European countries and regions. Furthermore, recommendations and guidelines for learners, teachers, university administration and other stakeholders will be developed to reduce existing inequalities and promote inclusive informal learning environments that are beneficial to the learning and well-being of students in higher education.
In addition to the University for Continuing Education Krems, the consortium includes the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Mykolas Romeris University from Vilnius (Lithuania) and Akdeniz University from Antalya (Turkey).
