Economic high speed deposition for functional device coating


The aim of the project is the development and validation of a high-power-sputter-source with associated process technology as a competitive future technology for high-quality multilayer coatings (such as those being developed within the forerunner project SMART coatings). Aside from hardware development, a “virtual machine” (VM) will be developed, enabling the simulation of deposition processes and therefore, coating composition and –structure can be optimized. ** This project is co-funded by FFG within the Production of the Future programme.
