Social Integration of Immigrants in View of Korean Unification

In anticipation of the eventual unification of Korea, the “Peaceful Unification Advisory Council” invites you to a public seminar on promoting the integration of immigrants within the context of state formation. This seminar will examine Central and Eastern European experiences in the social integration of immigrants and explore lessons that could inform immigration policy-making in other world regions.

Annual Conference of the Austrian Economic Association 2025

As co-organizer, we are pleased to announce that the next annual conference of the National Economic Association will take place in Krems on September 23 and 24, 2025 and will focus on the topic of Migration. Isabel Ruiz (University of Oxford) and Çaglar Özden (World Bank) will give the keynote speeches. '2025 IMISCOE Spring Conference' in Krems

More than 400 people participated online or in person in Krems in the three-day conference in March, which examined the topic of irregular migration from multiple perspectives. In addition to video recordings of selected events, a booklet and an interview conducted by Der Standard on the occasion of the conference are available.

APSA Best Dissertation Award to Naiara Rodriguez-Peña

She received the award for her dissertation, entitled Emigration from 'Destination': The Unfulfilled Migration Aspirations of the Precariat in the 'Global North', which she completed at the University of Kent.
