The Museum in a Digital World: Strategies - Methods - Tools Krems/Vienna (Austria), September 4-15, 2023 In September 2023, the Belvedere Research Center in Vienna and the Center for Image Science at the University for Continuing Education in Krems will jointly host an international summer institute sponsored by the Getty Foundation in Los Angeles.
The Summer School "Variations on How to Play" takes place July 4th – 6th 2023 and aims to establish transdisciplinary perspectives on how possible worlds evolve in different specialized fields in the context of play. Therefore, we invite scholars, students and practitioners from all disciplines to reflect on modes of playing within their field. The Call for Contributions is open until 3rd of March 2023.

From 25 to 27 November 2022, the international conference "FROG - Future and Reality of Gaming" will take place at the University for Continuing Education Krems, organised by the Center for Applied Games Studies together with Section VI - Family and Youth (Federal Chancellery Austria). The call for abstracts on this year's topic "Freedom | Oppression | Games & Play" is open until 9 October 2022.
The Austrian-Czech cooperation project "Music that connects" was brought to a close on May 31, 2022 with a concert by ensembles from Krems and Brno. Works by musicians who worked in the region of today's Austrian-Czech border area in the last centuries were performed.
The Center of Applied Music Research at Danube University is thrilled to welcome our second-year Music Management MA students and our first-year Music for Applied Media MA participants back on campus!
Miguel Kertsman from the Center for Applied Music Research has conducted seminars at the Music Academy in Accumoli in August 2021 working with an international group of young musicians. Topics ranged from self management to communications skills and the workings of the music industry.

Hands-on lab experience in our Master of Arts program ‚Music for Applied Media The Master of Arts program Music for Applied Media starts in May 2021. We offer an advanced, part-time study program for composers, producers, sound and media artists, musicians and musicologists looking for careers in music supporting film, games, TV, and new linear or interactive media. Our flexible curriculum combines practical training with theoretical knowledge and aesthetics.
