The department and its divisions offer a wide range of courses and workshops. Cochrane Austria regularly organizes workshops that teach key competencies in evidence-based medicine. In addition, workshops are offered in cooperation with Cochrane Germany and Cochrane Switzerland. There is also the possibility to design one- or multi-day training modules individually tailored for you and your team.
The Spotlight on Methods series is organized by the European Cochrane Groups. In one-hour live webinars, experts provide an overview of current topics and new developments in evidence synthesis methodology.
Health research faces major challenges in the 21st century: the ever-growing number of newly published studies calls for effective knowledge management and robust evidence syntheses as the basis for well-informed decisions. The new PhD program “Applied Evidence Synthesis in Health Research” offers students the opportunity to spend three years focusing specifically on methodological issues related to the design, conduct, and dissemination of evidence syntheses.
The goal of the 4-semester part-time course 'Regional Health Coordination' is to qualify individuals as contact persons and spokespersons for health promotion and prevention in communities. These individuals should be capable of making a significant contribution to establishing sustainable, favorable conditions for long, self-determined, and healthy lives for all community members. This course is only offered in the German language.
