Open Access publishing

Open Access stands for unrestricted online access to scientific information, which is free of charge for end users. In this context, “scientific information” refers to scientific publications in academic journals and the data on which these publications are based.

The University for Continuing Education Krems expressly encourages its researchers to publish their scientific work in accordance with Open Access principles.

To this end, numerous agreements have been concluded with scientific publishers through the Kooperation e-Medien Österreich (KEMÖ), which enable the publication of Open Access articles without APCs or at reduced rates.

In addition, the Service Center for Research Support and Transfer advises on further options and offers assistance with implementation.
