A key outcome of the project is the development and testing of a new curriculum for vocational training that meets the needs of the cultural heritage protection labour market in the face of climate change and formalises the relevant skills and competences. Led by the Center for Cultural Property Protection, an online course will be developed to improve the skills of cultural sector professionals to properly assess and manage the risks of climate change. The course will provide cultural heritage professionals (e.g. owners of historic houses, conservators, restorers, managers and staff of historic buildings, monuments, archaeological sites, museums, archives, libraries and art galleries) with skills and knowledge that will enable them to adapt to the current global situation, develop solutions and take immediate action to manage the risks that climate change and global warming pose to the cultural sector.

The online course is freely accessible through the iMooX platform and can be completed free of charge, independent of time and place, without access or admission restrictions. Its integrative, modular and transdisciplinary structure allows it to be integrated into existing university curricula and requires no prior knowledge.

With more than 10 hours of video content and self-study units, the course covers 8 thematic focuses and areas of specialisation. The course language is English.

COURSE START DATE to be announced.
