Advice offered by the university

The disability officer informs and supports students with disabilities and/or chronic diseases before and during their studies at University for Continuing Education Krems.

Students with disabilities or chronic illnesses are provided with:

  • Counselling and information in all matters
  • Information on funding options and legal framework conditions
  • Individual support in coping with day-to-day challenges which occur during the studies
  • Individual solutions regarding the study and workplace situation
  • Support in organising deviating audit methods
  • Support in organising working aids or technical devices
  • General guidance and assistance in coping with structural barriers on-campus
  • Arrangements for counselling in facilities and personal assistance

ÖH-Helpline

The ÖH-Helpline has been set up for all students in Austria who suffer from excessive demands or psychological complaints and need help.

Counseling is provided by trained employees of the Association for Psychotherapy in Vienna.

The ÖH-Helpline can also arrange a personal counseling session with employees of the Association for  Psychotherapy.

If you are diagnosed with a severe mental illness or depression as a result of the telephone consultation or during a counseling session, it is also possible to get a therapy place financed by the psychotherapy fund of the Austrian Students's Union (ÖH)

Psychological Counselling Service

The Psychological Student Counseling Service is a federal service facility that provides psychological support for students.

Psychologists and psychotherapists provide support in overcoming personal and study-related problems.

Counseling is free of charge, confidential and anonymous if desired.

The counseling services include

  • Coaching and support for study and learning processes
  • Chat counseling
