Beschreibung
Objectives: The DIGISAFE project aims to develop comprehensive understanding and effective responses to criminal activity and extremist recruitment within digital gaming environments. Our primary objectives are to conduct rigorous research into gaming-related crime patterns, build professional capacity among youth workers and educators, and create evidence-based educational resources that empower young people to participate safely in gaming communities whilst resisting exploitation and manipulation. Implementation: The project implements four interconnected activities over 18 months: comprehensive research combining criminological analysis with participatory approaches, professional capacity building for youth workers and educators, resource development including an open-access handbook and training materials, and dissemination through conferences, publications, and policy engagement whilst building sustainable networks. Results: We expect to produce comprehensive evidence for understanding gaming-related crime, enhanced professional capacity among European youth workers, empowered young people with critical thinking skills, informed policy development, and sustainable resources that continue benefiting the youth work community whilst building foundations for ongoing transnational cooperation.
