Registration and Application for Admission at University for Continuing Education Krems, INTAKE 2023

PLEASE NOTE: This information ONLY applies for applicants who have been selected by MARIHE consortium and have been offered a study place (and, if applicable, an Erasmus Mundus scholarship)!

General applications for participation in MARIHE are only possible during the application periods, and are only accepted through our MARIHE application database. For more information, please see www.marihe.eu/how-to-apply/application-process-and-timetable

If your application was successful, and you have received an e-mail by MARIHE secretariat that you have been selected for participation in intake 2023, then you need to start the admission process at University for Continuing Education Krems as coordinating institution of MARIHE and host of the 1st semester:

  1. Register, activate and start the application portal as described in the step-by-step “Manual for Online-Application

 

  1. Select semester:
  • Start of course: Wintersemester 2023/24

Please note: It is not possible to correct any mistake in this selection, please carefully double-check before proceeding.

 

  1. Select study course:
  • Type of studies: University course
  • Degree program: Research and Innovation in Higher Education

  1. Enter your personal data and upload a photograph (portrait). As "correspondence address" please enter your current residential address.

 

  1. Regarding the “Annex admission fee”:
  • For Erasmus Mundus scholarship students: Download the “MARIHE Scholarship Acceptance Form” (please see below). Fill in the form, print it, then sign and date it by hand. Afterwards, scan the paper and upload it under “Annex admission fee” in the portal.
  • For self-funded students: Download the “Annex admission fee” form (please see below). Fill in the form, print it, then sign and date it by hand. Afterwards, scan the paper and upload it under “Annex admission fee” in the portal.

 

  1. Upload the following application documents (most of them you have used before for MARIHE application period*):
  • Europass CV
  • Letter of Intent (please use the Letter of Motivation submitted previously for MARIHE application period)
  • Valid passport
  • Evidence of tertiary level education (Degree Certificate of first degree, incl. translation into English, if applicable)
  • If applicable: Legalization of Degree Certificate, according to the rules depending on the country of the document’s origin: https://www.donau-uni.ac.at/en/studies/study-organisation/admission.html, section “Legalization of Foreign Documents”. If a legalization is not required: Please leave this field empty. If you cannot provide the legalization now, because you have to apply for it: Please leave this field empty and submit the document as soon as you receive it.
  • Transcript(s) of records
  • English Test (certificate with scores from TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, Cambridge C1 Advanced, Cambridge C2 Proficiency, or exemption proof as submitted for MARIHE application period)

*Apart from the legalization of your degree certificate (which you will have to apply for at the authorities in charge, see link above), please use the same documents which you have already uploaded in the MARIHE Application Database when applying for MARIHE in 2022.

  1. Regarding the presentation of the original documents:

During your first days in Krems, you are required to present the original of your Degree Certificate and your passport. After this, MARIHE secretariat will confirm in the portal that the originals have been presented. (Until this, your application for admission is approved under the condition that the originals will be presented.)

 

  1. Download and print the “Registration and Application for Admission” form (which is generated automatically by the online application portal), sign it and upload it to the portal. Digital signatures are also accepted.

 

  1. Submit your application.

 

  1. Send an e-mail to MARIHE secretariat (marihe@donau-uni.ac.at) until 06 March 2023 to inform us that you have submitted the online application for admission at University for Continuing Education Krems.

Confirmation of admission

After your admission requirements (incl. a necessary legalization) have been checked and approved by the Service Center for Students, you will receive a confirmation letter via e-mail.
