Description

The "Smart Communities" project attempts to provide applications and public services solutions based on them for extended connectivity, with a special focus on municipalities and rural areas. We aim to ensure that meaningful visual representation and interaction methods support users in gaining insights into complex data from sensor networks. The main research focus is on transparent connectivity across different, regionally available LP/WAN service providers and corresponding service integration. The project focuses on the development of a system-of-systems concept that supports all service providers and at the same time prepares the data for exchange by municipalities and communities. The aim is to realise a simple, transparent configuration for various use cases and smart services based on them within a level but also between levels of municipality/alliance/state.
