The university course in Basic and Intermediate Nursing Management prepares senior health and nursing service professionals for the management of a ward or functional unit in healthcare facilities. Skills such as planning, organizing, guiding, advising, recognizing and considering business requirements within the departmental context are developed or strengthened. The course concept consists of a mix of methods in face-to-face and e-learning units. During online phases, students prepare for specifically practice-oriented face-to-face sessions, enabling a part-time study schedule. The university course in Basic and Intermediate Nursing Management is considered equivalent to the advanced training in "Basic and Intermediate Nursing Management" (Ward Management) according to § 64 of the Health and Nursing Care Act (Federal Law Gazette I No. 108/1977, as amended by Federal Law Gazette I No. 87/2016).
