Beschreibung
Ein bereits früher am Zentrum für Biomedizinische Technologie etabliertes Zellkulturmodell soll im Rahmen dieses Projektes dazu verwendet werden, ein adsorptives Blutreinigungsverfahren für die unterstützende Therapie der Sepsis zu entwicklen. Im Rahmen des Projektes werden folgende Fragestellungen bearbeitet: (1) Untersuchung des Effekts der spezifischen oder selektiven Adsorption von Mediatoren der Sepsis (z.B. Endotoxin, Zytokine, Komplementfaktoren) auf die Aktivierung von Endothelzellen; (2) Etablierung eines Modells für die anti-inflammatorische Phase der Sepsis, da eine zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt wirksame Therapie das Zeitfenster für den klinischen Einsatz einer Adsorptionstherapie verlängern würde.
