Henry Brodaty is a researcher, clinician, policy advisor and strong advocate for people with dementia and their carers.  At UNSW Sydney, he is Scientia Professor of Ageing and Mental Health, Co-Director of the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing, and Director, Dementia Centre for Research Collaboration. He has published extensively, is a senior psychogeriatrician at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. He serves on multiple committees for the NSW and Australian governments and WHO.

He was previously President of International Psychogeriatric Association, Chairman of Alzheimer’s Disease International, and President of Alzheimer’s Australia NSW and Australia. In 2000 he became an Officer of the Order of Australia and in 2016 received the Ryman Prize for the world’s best development, advance or achievement that enhances quality of life for older people.

Dr. Magda Tsolaki, MD, PhD, was born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1954 and has spent most of her time there. She has been a Professor of Neurology since 2010, a Neuropsychiatrist since 1983 and she has worked at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since 1982, as well as at the 3rd Department of Neurology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since 1988. She has been the main author/co-author of 48 Books, has participated with 506 abstracts in Greek Conferences, with 403 abstracts in English International or European Conferences, is the first author/co-author of 285 papers in Greek journals, and in 376 international journals -310 in PubMed with Impact Factor=1134.845, h-index=52, with more than 10.445 citations-. She has been a reviewer for Conferences and Journals (261) and has organized 27 national conferences on the AD and five international ones. She was one of the three or seven advisory members for 18 doctoral theses-completed, has created the Greek Alzheimer Association in 1995 and the Greek Federation of Alzheimer’s Disease in 2007 - she is also the Chair of this Federation. In this capacity, she has given 310 lectures throughout Greece, as well as on TV and radio. She has participated in 40 research programmes and 37 clinical trials. In total, she has received 48 awards.

Dr. Osman Kučuk is expert for dementia on the field of psychology. Author of a brochures and the two books: Dementia – what and how is further?(2015.) guide for people affected by dementia, carers and nurses; Dementia from the angle of Primary Health Care(2019.) – guide for GP's, specialist for family medicine. Author of guideliness „Dementia in the time of Covid-19 pandemic“(2020.) work accepted by the Federal Ministry of health and Federal Crisis HQ, published on their website and websites of ADI and Alzheimer Europe. He is coauthor of transnational guideliness to dementia „Interprofessional Management of Dementia“ used for INDEED Online Education Platform funded by EU INTERREG and translated into 5 languages (english, slovakian, slovenian, bulgarian, romanian). President of Organizating Comittee of iCoDem – International Congress of Dementia, the most important Congress of dementia in the region of the Western Balkan, member of a programs and scientifics committees and active participant of regional and international scientific meetings regarding dementia. Organizer of the two high level meetings(2018., 2020.) regarding: dementia, national dementia strategies and regional cooperation on the dementia field. Author of Sarajevo Statement on Dementia in the Western Balkan Region and Expert Statement Dementia care and Policies of extended Danube Region, the both supported by WHO office for Europe, ADI and Alzheimer Europe and many academic and research institution. Lecturer in Dementia Master Classes by DAAD (German office for academic exchange), coach for medical experts, nurses, formal and unformal carers, psychologists, social workers, therapeuts including in dementia issue. He is president of Working group  for developing of National Dementia Strategy in FBiH. He is a participant and intitiator of many research projects and single out is scientific research about number of affected people in BiH „Dementia as epidemic of BH society“(2015.). Currently, He is director of Center for dementia that is unique institution in Western Balkan.

Prof. Ninoslav Mimica, MD, MSc, DSc, Primarius, IFAPA is a full professor of Psychiatry at School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, Croatia. Currently he is a Head of Department for Biological Psychiatry and Psychogeriatrics and Teaching Director of University Psychiatric Hospital Vrapče in Zagreb. He is also a Lead of Referral Centre of Ministry of Health Republic of Croatia for Alzheimer’s Disease and Old Age Psychiatry.

He is a subspecialist in biological psychiatry, forensic and social psychiatry. He is a president of Croatian Association for Alzheimer’s Disease and Old Age Psychiatry, past president and current Vice-President of Alzheimer Croatia (Patient-Caregivers NGO). On his initiative, the Croatian Alzheimer Alliance was established, and now has 34 members societies/NGOs. He is an international fellow of American Psychiatric Association (IFAPA), member of European Psychiatric Association, and was for many years Croatian representative in umbrella organisations Alzheimer’s Disease International and Alzheimer Europe. He is a court expert in the field of Psychiatry, with experience of working for ICTY, Hague, Netherlands.

He was involved in translations of ICD-10 Classification of Mental and Behavioural Disorders, DSM-IV and DSM-5 into Croatian language. His expertise on various scientific fields such as biological psychiatry, adult psychiatry, old age psychiatry, psychopharmacotherapy including clinical trials is supported by more than 800 abstracts, articles, chapters and books that he has authored or co-authored.

Brigitte Juraszovich, has almost 30 years of professional experience in matters related to Education,Health and Social Services covering more than 25 years of experience in Long-term care and in Social services. She is an economist and has been working at the Austrian Public Health Institute (GÖG), in the areas of long-term car, social services and supportsince 1992 Senior Health Expert at the Austrian Public Health Institute, Department “Health Care Professions”. Her current work focuses on supporting the implementation of the dementia strategy and projects in the area of personnel requirements in long-termcare as well as social services.

Wiesje van der Flier (1975) is full professor and scientific director of Alzheimer center Amsterdam at Amsterdam UMC, the Netherlands, where she works since 2004. She studied neuropsychology at the University of Utrecht. In addition, she is clinical epidemiologist. She leads the Amsterdam Dementia Cohort, an ongoing memory-clinic based cohort including over 6000 patients with deep phenotyping (MRI, EEG, CSF biomarkers, and PET) and linked biobank (blood, DNA, CSF). The Amsterdam Dementia Cohort is at the basis of many of the studies performed at the VUmc Alzheimer center. Van der Flier has been (co)promotor of >20 theses and is currently supervising ~10 PhD projects. Van der Fliers main research areas are looking for the origin of AD, diagnosis & prognosis, and intervention & prevention. Van der Flier leads ABOARD (A Personalized Medicine Approach for Alzheimer’s Disease), a Dutch public-private partnership of than 30 partners. Together with colleague Philip Scheltens, she has written a book, het Alzheimermysterie, which was published by the Arbeiderspers.
