The EU-Academy is a forward-thinking initiative empowering Ukrainian students with comprehensive EU law training through an academic program for students and young university graduates offering specialized knowledge in EU law, values, and societal characteristics.
The "Academic Expert Program", the EU-Academy's inaugural offering, features:

Curriculum
This certificate program provides a foundational understanding of EU law, structures, and organization. An in-depth understanding is essential for implementing and enforcing regulations in national systems.

History of European Integration & EU Law Development (2 ECTS):
Dive into the foundational treaties, key milestones in the integration journey, enlargement processes, and the structure of EU institutions -
EU Law Fundamentals (6 ECTS):
Explore the core legal framework governing the EU: competence of the EU, sources of law, primary and secondary legislation, international law, the EU Court System, and the language of EU law. -
The Single Market Concept (6 ECTS):
Understand the principles behind the free movement of goods, persons, services, and capital, along with insights into the Monetary Union and economic integration. -
Approximation Process (6 ECTS):
Learn about the legal and administrative steps involved in aligning Ukraine’s laws with EU standards, including legal drafting, implementation, compliance, and anti-corruption policies. -

Eligibility
- Students currently enrolled at the Taras Shevchenko University and KNEU
- Advanced studies (3rd/4th year Bachelor's students or 1st-year Master's students)
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in English (B2 level)
- Must be a citizen of Ukraine and currently reside in Ukraine
- Interest in European integration and Ukraine's EU future
- Applicants from families affected by the war will receive priority, provided they meet the other requirements
