The Platform for Sustainable Development (SDGs) and the Research Lab Democracy and Society in Transition, in cooperation with the US Embassy in Austria, are pleased to announce a special opportunity: Bret Schafer, a renowned US expert on media and digital disinformation, will join us at the University (and online) for a talk on disinformation.
Bret Schafer is a Senior Fellow and Head of the Information Manipulation Team at the Alliance for Securing Democracy, part of the German Marshall Fund. In this role, he focuses on analyzing and countering foreign information operations in digital media. Through his extensive research, he has become a significant voice in understanding how state and non-state actors use media platforms to influence public opinion and shape policy decisions.
