For several years, the University for Continuing Education Krems has been taking measures to improve the reconciliation of work, study and family. For the second time, it was awarded the quality label "hochschuleundfamilie" by the Austrian State, and continues to position the university as a family-friendly institution as well as an employer committed to family life.
Audit
The hochschuleundfamilie audit aims to create suitable conditions for employees and students in order to facilitate balancing work and studies with family life. As part of the certification process, the University for Continuing Education Krems has agreed on nine measures, the implementation of which will be audited externally. The measures agreed upon are located in the fields of study organization, science & teaching, place of work, and information and communication policy and are directed, for example, at a pro-family leadership culture, enabling staff memebers to work from other location other than on campus, or, concerning studies, at supporting students during the time-intensive Master's thesis process.
The University for Continuing Education Krems was awarded the "hochschuleundfamilie" certificate for the goals and measures set.
