The Visiting Fellowships of the Department for E-governance and Administration aim to promote inter- and transdisciplinary cooperation on the effects, questions and challenges of digital and societal change on strategy, organization and processes.

The target group of Visiting Fellowships includes Master and PhD students, postdocs, assistant / junior / associate / full professors, together with experts from the public and private sector for short or longer stays. The Visiting Fellows work together with the researchers of the department on issues that arise in the course of the Visiting Fellows' individual project plans - depending on their expertise, length of stay, etc. - and which are of particular interest to the Visiting Fellows. - etc. The possible forms of Visiting Fellowships include

  • Visiting Professor
  • Visiting Researcher
  • Student Internships

 

Visiting Professor

(minimum requirement: established professor at a recognised institution)

  • Research activities regarding joint publications with the department
  • Teaching activities, such as guest lectures, webinars or seminars for the faculty members
  • Participation in ongoing projects or joint development of new projects
  • Mentoring for faculty members and students
  • Expert input for the department and the faculty
  • Student support (supervision of master theses, examinations, defences)

 

Visiting Researcher

(minimum requirement: completed doctorate or extensive industry experience, or extensive experience in public administration, or extensive experience at recognized non-university research institutions)

  • Research activities as a postdoc, either as a PI or under the supervision of a PI of the department
  • Teaching activities, such as guest lectures, webinars or seminars for the faculty members
  • Research activities regarding joint publications with the department

 

Student Internships

(Minimum requirement: ongoing Bachelor's degree course)

  • Support of the department's researchers in ongoing projects

  • Description of the research or project, in line with the strategic orientation and the ongoing activities of the department (max. 5 pages)

Duration

The duration of the stay is agreed individually, based on the proposal of the applicant. The length of stay can be shorter (1-6 months) or longer. The duration of the stay is determined on the basis of the type of cooperation envisaged and the contractual framework.
