Professional caregivers of Persons with Dementia and care team members have to meet expectations from different sides (Persons with Dementia, institutions, different family members). Out of this special situation, burden for caregivers can emerge, which can again have a negative effect on the quality of care.

The Professional Care Team Burden (PCTB) Scale is a specific reliable and valid scale aiming to measure burden in care team members. Only 10 items offer a quick and reliable way to obtain a rating of burden from care team members of nursing homes. The PCTB Scale can help to evaluate different interventions to decrease the burden of care.
