The goal of our project is to conduct a case study to explore a screening approach that temporarily replaces a human screener with a semi-automated screening tool. We will assess the performance of this approach when using a conventional literature search or an abbreviated search strategy. The study has two objectives: 1) To test the accuracy of an abstract screening approach that temporarily replaces one human screener with a semi-automated screening tool (DistillerAI). 2) To explore the impact of an abbreviated search strategy with higher specificity (less noise) on the accuracy of the semi-automated screening tool.
