Zur Person

Federica Zardo ist Politikwissenschaftlerin und arbeitet an der Schnittstelle zwischen internationalen Beziehungen und öffentlicher Politik, mit einem empirischen Schwerpunkt auf den Außenbeziehungen der EU und der EU-Migrationspolitik. Sie promovierte in Politikwissenschaft und internationalen Beziehungen an der Universität Turin mit einer Arbeit über die Beziehungen zwischen der EU und Tunesien, die 2020 als Monografie bei Palgrave Macmillan veröffentlicht wurde. Von 2016 bis 2021 arbeitete sie als Assistenzprofessorin an der Universität Wien, Zentrum für Europäische Integrationsforschung, und im März 2021 wechselte sie als Senior Researcher an die Universität für Weiterbildung Krems, wo sie sich mit der externen Dimension der EU-Migration beschäftigt.

Ihre spezifischen Forschungsinteressen umfassen:

  • EU-Entscheidungsfindung im Bereich der Migration
  • Beziehungen zwischen der EU und Drittstaaten im Bereich Migration
  • Migrationspolitische Instrumente und ihre Wirkungen
