ManyLaws - EU-wide Legal Text Mining using Big Data Processing Infrastructures

Beschreibung

This project aims to use big (legal) data, information processing and text mining tools and methods, to produce novel services from legal information processing; for citizens, businesses and administrations of the European Union. Apart from operating as an open infrastructure, the project will also organize, semantically annotate and make available the total of inputs and intermediate data sets, and outputs through the European Data Portal. The ManyLaws project concept is structured over three axes: Data Collection (the information to be acquired, through internet only, and primarily through web services communication where available); Information Processing (massively parallel computing tools will be made use of, balancing the load between batch and real-time service modes); and Service Provision (services are to be provided towards citizens, businesses and administrations, based on the most common needs of each user type).
