Miguel Kertsman, Master of Arts Program Director and Docent at the Danube University's Center for Contemporary Music, will hold a lecture and a seminar at the "Musica Antiqua et Musica Nova" conference hosted by the Janáček Academy in Brno on December 5 and 6, 2016.
Kertsman's lecture, "Music Business Overview and the Classical Segment", and seminar / workshop on Music Production will offer students and attendees an opportunity to historically survey the international music business, and analyze current and developing trends in the global music industry with emphasis on the Classical Music segment. Two students from the Janáček Academy in Brno are currently studying at the Danube University Krems through the Erasmus program, taking courses from the Music Management, and Music for Applied Media MA Programs.
Following similar collaborative endeavors this year between the Danube University's Center for Contemporary Music and institutions such as Ars Electronica in Linz, the French-Czech Music Academy in Telč, Czech Republic, among others, this new initiative is another one of several to come, including universities, foundations, and institutions in Austria, the United States, England, and other countries.
