Workshop contents
The workshop "Designing games for learning and instruction" will be open to public for a limited number.of participants. In this 2 day workshop, professor Jonas Linderoth will teach the basics of how to develop game mechanics and rules for instruction. In a series of short lectures and design exercises the participants will get the opportunity to:
- Learn the fundamentals of game design
- Understand why educational game development is more complicated than ordinary game development
- Hear what the research says about the relation between gameplay and learning
- Design their own educational game prototypes (analogue games)
Jonas Linderoth is a professor in Media, Aesthetics and Narration at the Department of Game Development, University of Skövde and a guest professor in Education at the Swedish defence college’s section for war-games.

Please only register if you are sure you can participate. The places will be allocated according to the time of registration. The workshop can be attended free of charge.
