Call for Book Chapters for the Edited Volume: "Blockchain and the Gaming Sector - ideas, concepts and running apps on Ardor and NXT"
The Center for Applied Game Studies is planning an anthology on Blockchain and the gaming sector. Scientists, scene experts and other experts are cordially invited to submit concepts for texts of scientific quality. In terms of content, the topics "Introduction to mechanics of Ardor and NXT", "Gameindustry and Blockchain", "Serious Games", “Collectible Games”, "Gamification" and "Gambling/iGaming" are to be covered. Within this framework, we ask you to develop your question for the text on the basis of your individual expertise. We look at the topic "Blockchain and the gaming Sector" from numerous perspectives.
- Step 1: Please submit an exposé of max. 3000 characters via the submission form, at the latest by Februry, 29th. Please note that there will be no remuneration for the exposés or the final chapter after acceptance.
- Step 2: After the submission deadline the team of the Center for Applied Game Studies will make decisions about the shape of the book and which chapters will be included. The authors will be informed by March, 15th.
- Step 3: If your abstract is accepted, please submit your final article at the lastest by May, 30th. The final articles are intended for the transfer of knowledge to the interested public, not especially for research purposes. Blockchain technology is still quite at its infancy and we need to create an edited volume that is understandable and readable for non tech professionals. Use language that is easy to understand and avoid abbreviations and foreign words if you do not explain them. Please keep texts as short as possible, but as long as necessary. You are welcome to add screenshots or graphics. Make sure that gender identities are adequately represented in language. Prepare secured knowledge and discuss controversial positions if necessary. Please do not write advertising texts for an explicit product. (Further instructions and a template will follow.)
We wish you every success and look forward to your contribution!
The book is intended to be published by Donau University Krems in summer 2020.
